I have long black, naturally straight hair. What colour highlights should I get . I also have a roundish-oval shaped face...would that help?

a lovely mocha color, just to off-set you're natural black hair. You don't want to go too light then ijust looks funny.

If you are going to get your hair done by someone, ask them. Hairstylist always know what will look best on you.

If you are doing them yourself, I would do like a golden blonde, or a hazelnut always looks pretty. I used to be blonde, then I went dark and I love trying a bunch of different new looks. :)

Hi. I'm getting hightlight too this summer; I think you should try to make it look natural, but not so natural that the highlights are un-noticable. I'd suggest brown streaks, with maybe a blonde one in the back.

A chocolate color would probably look nice. Or try a nice deep red or marroon color... it's not really highlights or lowlights or anything, just streaks.

Don't get blonde!! I've seen way too many people with black or dark brown hair that get blonde highlights %26amp; it usually looks horrible.

Or if you want to have alot of contrast (or just go a little crazy), buy some Manic Panic or Special Effects hair dye to put some streaks in. Since you have black hair, you'd need to bleach the parts you want dyed first and then put the color in. And just about every color looks good with black, so you can get whatever color you want, although I wouldn't recommend any oranges or yellows. It's your choice, though.
