Highlights in black hair(im asian)?

i want to get highlights in my hair but i have jet-black hair and im asian so i was wondering what kind of highlights would look good in my type of hair.thanks!

My Friend also Asian has jet black hair and went scavanging for highlights. She found a orange shade works best and any bright colors go well on the tips of your hair, I would start with a little bit of a orangy color, nothing to dramatic and go from there see how you like it.

Blue!!! But if you want to go with a more "normal" color, try red highlights. Start out subtly, unless you are sure, so you don't have to live with some outlandish hair color you hate. You can always go brighter!

If you are looking for crazy awesomeness, I'd do red tips, or chunks throughout, or blue highlights look good with black hair. :-)

well whatever you do make sure they aren't like BIG highlights like make them semi subtle .......hmm with black hair, try a redish brownish color (maroon) or go for bright red or orange

i woud recommend ligt brown.. i hav blackish-dark brownish hair too cuz im asian too... and i hav kinda ligt brown mixed w/ blonde highlights in my hair that my friend's mom did for us...

i would say silver. i think that looks awesome in black hair. get like silver streaks in it. not like normal highlites but just in certain places like two streaks in the front. and a few some more place in your hair. i think the only natural hair color that would look good in black hair would be a carmel color. so the only other advice i have is to do red or blue. that would look really cool too. i hoped i helped but if it were me i would go with the silver. :)

i think London from the suit life of zack and cody hashilights!!! i havn't watched it for a while. actully i just wathed it today!!! try her highlights!! but if she doesn't have any then try a brownish colar. not to dark!!! just light brown. or maybe silver,red,and blue!!! or try a dark or light pink highlight!!! i'm asian too so that's what i'lll try!!!
