So I'm thinking of getting black highlights, but since I have brown hiar some people think they won't be visible. I don't have that dark of brown hair. Thoughts? Pictures? thanks.

Actually, going darker would be considered low lights. Depending on how light or dark you hair is, yes, they will show. They will not be very noticeable if your hair is dark, though you say here it isn't. If there is more than one level of difference it will be more obvious. Keep in mind, black will not fade or go away after a time. If you do it, with few exceptions, the low lights are pretty much there to stay until they are bleached out or cut out.

Unless your really dark brown, then yes they will show up. If you do want them more visible do chunky foils.
